Succession Law

In succession law, I advise on the drafting of wills and inheritance contracts as well as on the legal structuring of succession planning – in both private and business contexts. Clear and timely arrangements play a key role in preventing disputes and ensuring the legally secure transfer of assets. In doing so, I always take into account the individual family and financial circumstances as well as the tax implications of any succession solution.

I also represent clients in the resolution of co-heir communities and in contentious inheritance proceedings – for example, in asserting or defending compulsory share claims or in challenging testamentary dispositions. My goal is to develop solutions that are legally robust while, wherever possible, avoiding unnecessary conflict and tailored to the specific circumstances of each case.

A particular focus of my practice lies in international succession cases with a German-Italian dimension, where the interplay of the European Succession Regulation, national inheritance law, and inheritance tax rules must be carefully considered. In this context, I provide support both in structuring cross-border succession planning and in the practical administration of estates on the ground – from obtaining the necessary documentation to coordinating with notaries and land registries, and addressing tax issues in both jurisdictions.
